I was most impressed with her responsiveness to text/email and negotiation skills. Even in a sellers market we were able to get our dream home, under appraised value and with all repairs requested taken care of. What more could really ask for? I was always told that I play hard ball when house buying (this is my 4th home purchase) but she fought harder than I do and ended up getting more than we had in mind. In the end was the best realtor I've dealt with.

For this particular purchase, I bought the house next door and originally intended to work through the title company stuff on my own with the seller. I had Chris get involved as a matter of convenience, and I'm glad I did. Since the property had a couple mobile homes on it and one was recorded as personal property instead of regular real estate, the transaction became much more complicated than any of my prior purchases. Chris did the research to figure out what all my options were several times as different decision points came up. Additionally, I work a few hours away and completed much of the transaction remotely; the complexity of this particular purchase likely would have made it impossible to complete while remote without Chris' assistance. Bottom Line: Chris knows his trade and can be counted on to go the extra mile.

Not only is he very versed in the entire buying process, but he is a contractor as well. This is a HUGE benefit and very rare to find in a realtor. He is able to point out areas of concern and advocate for the purchaser. If you're looking for realtor who is incredibly nice, trustworthy and knowledgable John Fornecker is who you are looking for. I had... read more very little to spend on a new home, and no prospects were available in my price range. In addition, I was on a short deadline to find a house. Practically speaking this was a near impossible situation, and I needed a miracle. Through it all, Chris was very willing to go anywhere to show properties and he maintained a highly positive attitude. I had a strong sense that something good was coming which was based on my faith rather than practicality, and Chris didn't balk at that but was with me all the way through it. Then one Saturday, with about 2 weeks left, we viewed a home that didn't pan out, and I had no other prospects. At that point Chris remembered driving by a house that was for sale by owner and offered to show me where it was, even though technically that could have cut him out of the transaction. We drove there and found that it was in my price range and in great shape, unlike anything else we had seen over the few months of looking. I made an offer which was accepted. In gratitude for Chris going the extra mile, I chose to keep him involved. I'm so glad I did, because he walked me through all the many technical details, which I would have been clueless about on my own--he was well worth every penny! Buying a home is complex and stressful, and today's market is especially challenging. Throughout the whole process, Chris stayed positive and put my needs ahead of his own. He's the kind of guy you want in your corner.
